BIOGRAPHY OF TESSA WILLIAMS

Always fascinated by memories, be they of travel or the scents of escapism and adventure,

Tessa Williams is an author and journalist whose thirst for exploration was sparked by touring as a child with her parents, who brought her on intrepid train journeys through France, Italy and Spain.

After producing several issues of her own Magazine, X Magazine, which she did in London with the help of Time Out Distribution and sponsorship from Smirnoff, Tessa then took the decision to study Drama and English at Goldsmiths University. She subsequently  worked as a journalist for several years, writing for Elle, Elle Decoration, Marie Claire and Vogue. A desire to escape the grey skies and concrete of London drew her to the south of France, where she first  lived whilst her daughter was at pre school. She worked for The Riviera Times and she began researching a book on perfume, Cult Perfumes .

Hotels of the Stars is her second Book and she has been featured on the Channel 5 TV show “Amazing Hotels of the World” as a presenter.

She is currently working on the second volume of Hotels of the Stars

and has travelled from Morocco to New York in the process.

Also a perfumista, Tessa was inspired to create her own perfume line following the publication of her first book Cult Perfumes and she now has over 10  individually inspired scents, from The Elements, The New Testament,  and The Scents we missed in Lockdown  to name but a few–  her latest Perfumes are being made in Grasse. She has created Scents Inspired by the places she has visited from MARRAKECH, CADAQUES, PINEDE and LEMON,

LOVE, HOPE and FAITH were inspired by the New Testament of the Bible

and her first Scent Creations from the Elements Themselves

FIRE, EARTH, AIR and WATER.

She is also a painter and likes to paint the settings where the Perfumes are inspired by.
